All the more reason why one should keep the vessels separate.Dr. Rickyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14402750016330919877noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2455532517967373639.post-70028743292704379582009-01-19T13:19:00.000-06:002009-01-19T13:19:00.000-06:00I meant to mention this earlier... These coffee makers actually need to be primed much like a cast iron pan, burning on the coffee oils. The first few coffees you make aren't very good, but after a while it gets better and better. (And you only ever wash the pot with water - never soap).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2455532517967373639.post-29545596203041076532009-01-12T17:21:00.000-06:002009-01-12T17:21:00.000-06:00I agree, tea is often an afterthought and many est...I agree, tea is often an afterthought and many establishments offer zero selection - hello Lipton. Sometimes very upscale/high end restaurants offer proper tea service at the end of the meal; not sure which here in Houston may do that.

I use a french press at home for tea, but it's a very small single serving press, and I've never used it for anything else. (Though I'm an admitted javahound, so even if I had I might not have noticed the carryover you mention)Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01327695023281263642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2455532517967373639.post-78447162622762827672009-01-12T15:21:00.000-06:002009-01-12T15:21:00.000-06:00I think American restaurants in general don't resp...I think American restaurants in general don't respect tea. Canadians are only slightly better, but I think one must travel to Europe or Asia to find folks who respect tea as something worthy of perfecting.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
